Special Edition: Announcing FinalLap.com

Car auctions for the Tik Tok Age

My travels through business and in Texas have earned me the opportunity to do some pretty rad things and meet cool people. For example, I am now fully the Chief Digital Officer of Gas Monkey Garage.

One of the people I have had the honor of meeting is Marshall Haas, an amazing B2C and B2B entrepreneur with a string of amazing exits under his belt. He made tens of millions of dollars on his last exit, and like a good car ought to, immediately began buying cars.

Rare 911s, McLaren 675LT Spider, GTC4Lusso, vintage Broncos, a slew of G Wagons, Verde Citrea Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD, some Lotuses, you name it. This guy loves to drive, and he’s got good taste.

Like any great entrepreneur, he also couldn’t sit still. He needed another project to work on. And he loves cars. And buying cars. And car auctions.

Can you see what I’m getting at here?

Marshall is launching FinalLap.com, a new format for the online car auction.

Instead of auctions running constantly, the auction runs sequentially, every Friday, at noon Central. It’s live, so everyone is watching at the same time.

If you’re in the wholesaling business, you’ll know this is a bit how Manheim runs their auctions, except this is for the regular consumer.

You can log in all week to see what’s coming up for auction that Friday, and get all the stats, specs, and content like you would on a BringATrailer or a Cars and Bids.

So I come to you, my dear reader, with this announcement.

You like cars. You want to see cool auctions. You want to buy and sell sweet rides.

FinalLap.com. Sign up for SMS notifications so you get early access to their first auction coming up very soon. Scoop up some sweet rides.

Then hit the road around DFW so we can keep the storytelling going forward.

We’ll see you in the auction.

Best,

Sanjay Jenkins

P.S. I did not get paid to send this, I love Marshall and I believe in this new venture. #NotAnAd
