I Run Gas Monkey Garage Now - Dallas Car Culture 006

I hope that you’re reading this in the warmth, and that Dallaska did not affect you negatively. I’ve been inside for several days and I’m getting stir crazy. As much as I wanted to go do donuts on the ice, I didn’t feel like risking it for a biscuit that just isn’t worth it to me.

It’s been a long time since I’ve written a DCC newsletter, so I’ll keep this relatively brief and get back to regularly scheduled programming by Friday.

My name is Sanjay Jenkins, and I started Dallas Car Culture to get plugged into the car scene. It worked. Within 2 weeks, we had nearly 3k subscribers and I was shaking hands with the organizers of the biggest car meets in the DFW metroplex.

That’s because during the day, I grow companies. I run an ecommerce software startup based in SF called Replo. Don’t worry, I still live in downtown Dallas, I am actually a Texan. I also run a marketing agency.

One of the reasons why I didn’t write much last year is because my software business started blowing up - happens when you add AI to things - and because something crazy happened.

I had the opportunity, through my marketing agency, to run Gas Monkey Garage online. I do the ecommerce management, the ads, the emails, the text messages, and help orchestrate the content creation.

I took over running the online business late last year, and I will tell you right now - it’s a dream come true. I grew up watching Richard Rawlings on TV, and I now I work with him. I get to help grow his business and together we’re building a 9-figure global brand.

I say all this to say… I’m sorry I haven’t written in a long time. I’m going to fix that, one week at a time.
